Extended Stays

So, last Friday was my final day at Equifax.  I’ll still be back and forth to Atlanta for a bit until I move my stuff in storage and won’t entirely cut ties until I manage to sell my house, but soon, I’ll get to move onto another chapter of my life.  A little travel and then we’ll see what’s next. But there will surely be some interim stops here at home while I await the sale of the house and possibly longer if I decide to go back to school.  … Continue reading

Mighty Oaks From Little Acorns Grow

I’m cautiously optimistic about my knee. In the last week, I finally experienced some improvement again. When I first started physical therapy, there was definite improvement. I went from struggling up the stairs to dull yet constant pain. It was better than before, but better is still not well. The stall has lasted quite awhile, but last week, we changed up the exercises and started doing electro stimulation on my knee. Don’t know if it’s one or both of those or it was just time, but I found myself feeling … Continue reading

Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah

First for just an FYI, in case you haven’t noticed, I’m selling prints of some of my shots at Imagekind, a print on demand service.  These are nice prints and you can get them professionally matted and framed by the same service. Feel free to spread the word.  If there are shots you’ve seen here that you are seriously interested in but I haven’t put up prints for sale, let me know. Meanwhile life is life. The knee has not acted up badly but it continues to aggravate.  After three … Continue reading

Ch-Ch-Changes

So, I’ve been nearly absentee lately. Terribly behind on responding to messages and comments, etc., but the end of the year has had my real world life hopping. Work, work, work and no time to even think about my trip at the end of the month! One more week of work and then off on vacation until January 11th – ahh, this is the way to do it! Okay, first off, something I’ve been wanting to talk about but was:

Life is But a Dream

First, one I’ve meant to share for a week: HUGE KIDS SALE I’ve passed that sign at a church on the way to work about this time of the year every year since I bought my house. And every year, I want to know are they selling a lot of kids or just really large ones? And aren’t there laws against that sort of thing? Meanwhile, I’ve opened up the week on a strong note. I was going to be at work late anyway trying to complete (and failing) research … Continue reading

Opportunities and Options

Long week. Another dentist appointment on Tuesday so I ended up burning a couple of days of vacation rather than trying to drive home from here Monday night and then back here Tuesday – just not worth it. Wednesday was a big meeting with one of our customers – the who is not important but big and in need of attention. So, that was an entire day. And I had to present to them, which is both a good experience and a potentially bad thing depending on how you do. … Continue reading

Got home last night (Wednesday). It was on the late side. Got off of work early, and ran home and tossed everything in the car. But when I got to the comic shop, comics were late… I’m already missing two weeks between Christmas and travel. So, I waited, and waited… A large crowd gathered by the end. It was nice to have time to chit-chat before the holiday and all. And considering the traffic I still faced when I left, I might not have missed much. Had hoped a couple … Continue reading

There’s so much I could say about the year to date. The highs, the lows – unfortunately more of the latter. Beginning with the loss of my grandmother in January and continuing with my mom’s multiple surgeries for a broken ankle in Feb, it’s been quite a year. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think there will be anything I look back fondly of for 2003. That said, DragonCon was a heap of fun, as usual. And Brian (my cousin) and Kelly, bought a new home not far from … Continue reading

Been an eventful couple of months. I got a new position at Equifax, where I’ve worked the past three years. I just changed departments. In some ways, I’m starting over, but going there with the knowledge I have, it’s not a total new start. And yet, I get a position that’s more to my liking and I feel like I’m still somehow moving forward, which is important to me. As of last week, my new job title is Business Solutions Consultant. All this really means is that when Sales has … Continue reading
